Sink Faucets
Soap scum can be most obvious on metal bath, shower and sink fixtures, forming stains that contrast in color from the metal. With the KOHLER® Faucet Cleaner, you can remove stains and residue from your fixtures to leave a streak-free shine every time.
We recommend testing your KOHLER cleaning solution on a small spot before applying to the entire fixture. Instead of allowing the Faucet Cleaner to soak once applied, wipe your surfaces clean immediately using a damp, non-abrasive cloth or sponge. Remember to thoroughly rinse your fixtures with plain water, then buff dry.
Shower Walls and Doors
As with metal fixtures, shower walls and doors can easily show soap scum. Glass shower doors also respond well to the KOHLER Faucet Cleaner when used correctly. Soap scum build-up can quickly leave fiberglass surfaces looking dull and spotted. You can clean your fiberglass surfaces with a solution of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, which should be applied and left on the surface for 15 to 30 minutes before a thorough rinsing.
Shower walls can often collect bacteria and residue along grout lines, requiring regular cleaning to prevent discoloring. LuxStone walls are grout-free, so you only have to apply the Tub & Shower Cleaner to the wall surfaces to keep them free of build-up.
Ceramic Tiles
Soap scum is easier to remove from ceramic tiles than other surfaces. Applying a commercial soap scum solution or a vinegar and water solution should take care of any stains, but you can also buff your tiles with a wet pumice stone should more difficult soap scum remain. Wet both the stone and the floor before gently working in small areas, rinsing the stone of removed scum as you work over the tile surface. Remember to avoid using a dry pumice stone—this will be too hard on your ceramic tile and can leave scratches or chips on the surface.
